How far from your last home do you live? Why did you move and are you glad you did?
Submitted by Matthew 25.
Thousands of miles away. A border away. I moved for love...haha. Very cheesy. Plus I love the weather in Arizona. No more constant rain and endless days of carrying the umbrella in my purse.
I'm glad I 'moved'. Love, love love it!
What's your favorite thing to drink when it's cold outside?
Dark hot chocolate from Blendz (a Canadian chain). I feel so deprived (of it) right now.
In your ultimate dream house, what does your favorite room look like?
Spacious, wall to ceiling glass windows, high-tech blinds that can make the room to complete darkness in a click....haha! Clean design. High ceiling. Lots of space. Has a cute dresser. Comfy sofa. Fireplace. Faces the ocean. Hidden bookcase so it doesn't clutter. A moderately-sized Chihuly sculpture as an accent piece of the room. Big bathtub with custom designed, built-in votive candle holders. Fresh flowers.
Yes, I want a really big room. :D
How do you pass the time during a flight? What do you bring in your carry-on?
I write. I draw. I play games. I listen to music. I write drafts of e-mails to friends to send the next time I get Internet connection. I type drafts of blog posts. I take random pictures, which sometimes creep out people beside me. I play my DS. I read. I read. I fidget. It's not that I'm afraid of flying...it's just that, I NEED to do things. I can't just sit there!
I bring lots of things to keep me entertained because I get bored easily, even on 3-hour flights. I have my Moleskine lined journal, Moleskine sketchbook, fountain pen, Pilot G-Tech C4, Nintendo DS w/ 3 games (Brain Age, New Mario Bros, and Animal Crossing WW), ipod, macbook pro, at least 2-3 magazines (usually the current New Yorker, Mental Floss, HOW Design magazine, Wallpaper), a literary book, a tech book, and my digital camera.
YES, it takes a LOT to entertain me and my carry-on is heavy with all these shits. :p
What magazines do you subscribe to, and why?
I subscribe to these for their literary content:
The New Yorker
The Walrus
Maisonneuve
I love this for all the random information I learn:
Mental Floss
I subscribe to this for design eye candy:
HOW
